okay. What is up with friendster? I know I’m a few years behind most of you because cause’ I don’t have facebook and I know how facebook is like THE place where you know when your friend’s birthdays are. Alright, back to friendster. At this point in time, I still receive random emails from friendster about so-and-so’s birthday; some people I vaguely remember, others I do remember but don’t talk to, but NEVER an email from friendster saying “IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY TODAY!”. Like seriously, why remind me when everyone else’s birthday is but my own? What if I never knew what date was it today, or because I was too busy with work or something, that I ‘forget’ my birthday’s “coming up” or it’s “today”. Does facebook remind you via email that your birthday is today or that your birthday is coming up? If so, sign me up please!

I remembered some peoples’ birthdays w/o facebook. (August that is). Here’s all I remember:

the triplets are an awesome bunch to sleep over with. I never had a sister; and it’s very nice to see a chummy family spending their weekend together. I think family is quite important – and I’m very blessed. Happy Birthday. I’ve known you for quite awhile. 4 years? So since you mean something to me and pattrick, we are glad that we surprised you on friday night even though we were 2 days early and all we had was a  chocolate cake. Buying you a special gift was hard. Actually, we knew you’d like almost anything that is edible; but we didn’t know what exactly was unique enough that would be a suitable birthday present for you. so Happy Birthday dear friend. I hope that our friendship will always exist, even if time passes by and we all grow up and go our separate ways.

Dear Xiao Xuan,

It’s your birthday today and I thought it’d be right that I dedicate a whole blog post to you. Happy Birthday my dear friend. How long have I known you? A year? Just a little over? It’s funny. How I began to know you through the similarities we shared. Like the way we swore the F words like they were full-stops. How we’d laugh and be ‘disruptive’ during training. How we’d never fail to not only make everyone join in our joy of laughing but also to train together for a sport that never really made us very happy at times sometimes, I wish we could stop time and remain in the moments where laughing uncontrollably was our forte. I wish that our fights and tensions and mini ‘disagreements’ didn’t exist; but I’m glad they have made our friendship stronger. Also, who can never forget the fact that you are always so willing to be a friend by answering my annoying calls, listening to my problems, wiping my tears, and telling me when I was being out of line. You really are a true friend – more than you ever make yourself to be. Don’t ever think of letting others stop you from reaching your goals and dreams. And believe in yourself more than we ever can, if one day myself or Jocelyn aren’t gonna be around. We’ve come so far in our journey of being Tchoukballers, and most importantly, as friends. I think you deserve to be recognized on this special day for just being so amazing, awesome, giving, understanding, and most importantly – you. I love you, Xuan. Even if you don’t like me kissing your cheek.

I’m sorry I didn’t turn up for your birthday party but I hope that you had an awesome time with people you loved (: Anyways, since today’s your real birthday I shall dedicate this 2cents worth of fame post to you (:

I know we may not be the closest of friends; yet we still manage to have our own fair share of gossips and sometimes even heart to heart talks (in a not so deep way but enough I guess..if any of that made sense). I really enjoyed myself the time spent with you: in 3rd Student Council, Touch Rugby, Orientation, Russia, and I don’t know other times that we shared. And we even had a period where there was tension (not that I like remembering that part) but seriously, any shit that has happened would be bridge over troubled waters type of thing.

I thank you for being a friend to me since…well,when we started being friends(: haha. and I hope you have a blessed birthday and many happy returns cause’ you deserve it (: I love you alot LEMON/DOUBLE A BATTERY. And I wouldn’t exchange our friendship for anything in the world! (except for free, all expense paid trip to disneyworld) And I’ll always be there for you even though you have tonnes of other people who’d be there for you (social butterfly!). So here, I hope this was worth your 2 cents of time.
